The Fall Foliage ride series is a great opportunity to get in some miles while enjoying the fall colors.  There are rides at every level.

• Saturday, October 12th: Fall Foliage #1 - Croton
  A rolling ride through Westchester ending up at the Croton-Harmon Metro North Station. Sign ups for: A19, B17 & 18, B15 & 16


• Sunday, October 13th: Fall Foliage for C-Riders #1 - Bridges of Ulster County
  It's too early in the season to see fall colors in the city so we're heading up north to Ulster County. In addition to leaf peeping, we get to ride four classic bridges: the Springtown Truss Bridge in New Paltz (pictured below), the recently reopened Rosendale Trestle Bridge, Perrine's Bridge (2nd oldest covered bridge in NY), and of course the one and only Walkway Over the Hudson. Some of the ride is on unpaved trails; tires 28 mm (or wider) are suggested. Elevation gain is 1200 ft over 40 miles, not 1700 ft (RWGPS got confused by the Hudson River and Rondout Creek crossings). Lunch is at a vegetarian restaurant in Rosendale. Sign Ups


• Saturday, October 19th: Fall Foliage #2 - Mianus
  Train ride up to Stamford and head north to the CT/NY border before biking back to NYC. Many pretty backroads. Sign ups for: A19, B17 & 18, B15 & 16


• Sunday, October 20th: Fall Foliage for C-Riders #2 - Oyster Bay
  Loop out from Queens through Westbury to take in the annual Oyster Festival. After, we head south through Muttontown Preserve and down the Bethpage Bikeway to finish in Massapequa. Very pretty. Sign Ups


• Saturday, October 26th: Fall Foliage #3 - Bedford
  Start from the Bronx, head up to Bedford before returning to Stamford Metro North. Sign ups for: A19, B17 & 18, B15 & 16


• Sunday, October 27th: Fall Foliage for C-Riders #3 - Rocky Point
  This ride is a scenic loop out of Ronkonkoma north to Port Jefferson and Belle Terre. Lunch in Rocky Point before heading southeast through the Pine Barrens and Middle Island. The foliage should be spectacular now. We promise it will be nice! Sign Ups


• Saturday, November 2nd: Fall Foliage #4 - Simpaug
  A pretty loop out of Stamford to Redding and back through the South Norwalk Reservoir. Rest stops in Branchville and Wilton. Sign ups for: A19, B17 & 18, B15 & 16


• Sunday, November 3rd: Fall Foliage for C-Riders #4 - Allaire Village
  This is a scenic ride though central New Jersey from Aberdeen-Matawan along the Henry Hudson Bike Trail for a tour through Allaire Village before heading north to finish the ride at Long Branch NJT. We will shoot to catch the 3:07 or 4:07 p.m. train back to NYPenn. Sign Ups
