A Message From Club President Christy Guzzetta

Talk about making friends and having fun on your bike . . .

Here comes the Club’s annual Memorial Day weekend in the Berkshires.  It’s been going on for years and years – a wonderful tradition - the NYCC and the Berks on Memorial Day weekend.

100 people will come, more.  Easy to get to – drive, train most of the way and ride the rest.  Rides for A, B, and C riders.  Three days of beautiful cycling terrain, all class club Vegan Pig Roast on Saturday.  Huh?  Vegan Pig Roast?  What the heck is a vegan pig roast?  Come and find out. After the BBQ will be a special “meet and greet” – particularly designed for 1st timers in the Berks and new members – love meeting new members.

All class club ice cream social on Sunday evening with special flavors especially for NYCC members. What could be more fun than that?

It’s where friends are made, where hills are climbed, one time I saw a mountain lion leap across the road within a bicycle wheel length away – swear, I did!  Bash Bish Falls – or is it Bish Bash Falls?  Geesh. . . what a climb!  It’s a Cakewalk – no that’s another ride.  The All Class Club ride to the lake in Lakeville.  Maybe Herb and Liane will have watermelon for us again this year?

The NYCC does lots of stuff – weekend rides, morning laps, Escape New York . . .. nothing we do is better than Memorial Day weekend in the Berks.

I can’t wait.

Hope to see you there.
