Who We Are

The New York Cycle Club is an educational and recreational organization for bicycle enthusiasts in New York City. Our greatest strength is our 2000+ members and a commitment to having as much fun as possible on a bicycle. We organize weekly rides, weekend trips, training programs and special events for novice and experienced cyclists. Join us to have fun, ride safe, get strong, and make friends - all while exploring some of the most beautiful routes in the tri-state area. Whatever aspect of the sport intrigues you, NYCC offers programs and people to get you in gear.

Registration is Now Open for 2010 Membership

As a member, you will have access to:

  • Unlimited riding on well planned, well-led, magnificent rides throughout the New York Metro area and beyond.
  • Our spring training and "SIG" series are well-known, popular programs that sell out quickly. No cost to you except the price of membership.
  • Destination weekends of riding in the Berkshires for Memorial Day weekend and West Point over the July 4th weekend.
  • Regular monthly club-wide meetings: optional dinner followed by presentations from cycling industry experts.
  • Discounts at most local NY/NJ area bike shops, access to our ride library of cue sheets, club picnics, social outings, outdoor events and more.
  • The NYCC Discount Card, available here as a PDF file.

How to join



Join or renew online at active.com, or print out an application and mail it, along with a check to:

You will need your membership number to renew. You can easily find your number here: look up table. Mail in applications take 2 to 3 weeks to process. The 2010 membership options are:

  • $22, individual
  • $30, couple residing at the same address

Please note: An NYCC membership is for 12 months based on the date you join. When your 12-month membership lapses, you will be invited to renew at that time.
