HZ's romp through Westchester and CT with a nicer route to Bronxville. A great ride for a hot, summer day. (And not without a good helping of vertical)

Leave NYC and ride into leafy Greenwich, Pound Ridge, Ridgefield, Redding, and Fairfield, mostly on well-paved back roads with little traffic. Some flats along ridges and valleys, and up and down the short, sharp hills between them. A couple of shortcuts are indicated on the cue sheet. Near the finish is the Saugatuck reservoir- very scenic. Look for the swimming hole along the stream below the dam- a fine way to cool down before you head for the train.
